The Suffolk Short Film Festival CIC (Suffolk Shorts)

We believe that Short films are the future, they give filmmakers the chance to experiment and hone their skills. Telling a story in a short film takes skill and determination, but it also frees you from the constraints and influences often associated with features or traditional commissioning. Shorts are not just practice runs, they are an art form in their own right.

Suffolk Shorts will be an annual event, taking place over three days in Ipswich, Suffolk. It is an international festival, with a dedicated award category and showcase for local filmmakers. The award submissions will help to create a fund to encourage filmmaking in the region. The festival will offer an informal, social environment in which to view the very best short films from around the world.
